Hella City is an island city surrounded by oceans and mountains. It is made up of three main neighborhoods, Sweet Street, Tight Heights and Down Town. Watching from above is Chill Haven, which paints Hella City's skies in bright colors during the day and leaves it in a violet darkness during the night.
Demographics[]
Hella City has a population of about 1.7 million and an area of about 200 square kilometers, giving it a population density of about 8500 people per square kilometer. It is populated with a near perfect split between Cool Kids and Losers.
History[]
Hella City was founded by the Gods 2013 years ago. Nothing changes but the people, businesses and buildings, which all die and are replaced by different yet similar people, businesses and buildings. The Gods do their best to keep the city consistent.
Culture[]
Hella City is a sprawling urban environment in which Losers wish they were Cool Kids, Cool Kids wish they were Gods and Gods rule over all. For whatever reason, the city thrives off of the tensions between cool and lame, and thus there are areas of the city that are incredibly cool and some that are totally lame. The city has its own set of holidays and special dates. It is unknown if there are other islands like Hella City. Since its conception the city has always existed in an all-eras-at-once sort of limbo state, explaining the mix of high-tech and low-tech, modern art and ancient marble statues. Interdimensional Gods poaching ideas from other universe is the likely cause of this.
Environment[]
Hella City takes up the entirety of a small island located in the middle of the ocean. Many other mountains and islands exist around it, visible from the city. These islands are unpopulated except for the occasional visitor on a pizza or scientific expedition. The city is home to many tropical flora such as palm trees, ferns, bushes, grasses, and fauna such as seagulls, pigeons and the Hellacious Squawkgobbler (mountains only).
